This Privacy Policy (this "Policy") explains how QU (Quantum Universe Inc.) ("QU," "we," "us," "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you play GILI (the "Game") or use our related services (the "Services"). This Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service.

By using the Services, you confirm that you understand this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.

1. A Quick Summary

We collect the information needed to run GILI: your platform account basics, gameplay data, social/voice-chat activity, purchases, and technical/device data.
We use it to operate the Game, enable multiplayer and voice, keep players safe, process purchases, and improve GILI.
GILI includes real-time voice chat; voice may be processed to provide the feature and to support safety and moderation (including AI-assisted moderation).
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
Parents and guardians have rights to review or delete their child's information — see Section 9.

2. Information We Collect

(a) Account and profile information (from your platform). When you sign in with your Meta account (or another supported platform), we may receive your display name, username, user ID, avatar/profile image, age group (age bracket, not exact birth date unless required), and a list of your friends or followers who also play GILI.

(b) Gameplay information. Progress, levels, partners hatched/raised, in-game actions, settings, achievements, session length, and similar data.

(c) Social and communications data. Friend connections; text "whispers"; and real-time voice chat transmitted while you play. We may retain limited chat or voice-related data, or reports about it, for safety, moderation, and enforcement.

(d) Purchase data. Records of in-app purchases (e.g., Starter Pack, partner bundles, Pearl packs) and related entitlements. Payment card details are handled by the platform (e.g., Meta), not by us.

(e) Technical and device data. Device/headset model, operating system, app version, language, general region/country, IP address, crash logs, and diagnostic and performance data.

(f) Support and community data. Information you provide when you contact support, submit a report, or interact with our official community spaces (e.g., Discord).

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

provide, operate, and maintain the Game, including multiplayer, the friend system, and voice chat;
keep players safe — detect and act on cheating, abuse, harassment, and other violations, including through automated and AI-assisted moderation and human review;
process purchases and deliver entitlements;
personalize and improve the Game, fix bugs, and develop new features;
communicate with you about updates, events, and support; and
comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

4. Voice Chat, Moderation, and AI

GILI includes real-time proximity voice chat. To provide this feature, voice is transmitted between players through our voice/networking provider (e.g., Photon). Voice and related activity may also be processed for safety and moderation purposes, which may include automated or AI-assisted tools as well as human review of reports.

We use AI systems to help operate and improve the Game, which may include moderation, anti-cheat, and analytics. Your gameplay data and User Content may be processed by, and used to train or improve, these systems. Please do not share sensitive or personal information in voice or text chat. (See our Terms of Service, "AI Systems Disclosure.")

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

With other players: your display name, avatar, and in-game presence are visible to others; your voice is audible to nearby players during proximity voice chat.
With service providers who process data on our behalf under contract — for example, Meta (platform/commerce), Photon (voice/networking), k-ID (age assurance/parental consent), cloud hosting, analytics, and moderation providers.
With platforms whose services you use (e.g., Meta), subject to their own privacy policies.
For legal reasons: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect the safety of users (especially minors), or enforce our Terms.
In a business transfer: e.g., a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

6. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK and similar)

Where required, we rely on: your consent (and, for minors, the consent of a parent/guardian); performance of a contract (our Terms); our legitimate interests (e.g., securing the Game, preventing abuse, improving the Services); and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time (see Section 10).

7. International Transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than where you live, including [Republic of Korea / United States / others]. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for international transfers.

8. Data Retention and Security

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, to comply with law, and to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements; we then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no system is completely secure.

9. Children's and Minors' Privacy

GILI is intended for players who meet the eligibility rules in our Terms (generally 13+, or 10–12 through a Meta Parent-Managed Account approved by a parent or guardian).

We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child below the age of consent in their country (for example, under 13 in the US, or between 13 and 16 in parts of the EEA) except as permitted through a Parent-Managed Account and applicable parental-consent mechanisms. If you are below that age, please do not submit personal information to us.

We may use age-assurance and verifiable parental-consent tools (e.g., k-ID and Meta's parental controls) to help confirm eligibility and obtain any required consent.

Parents and guardians may review the personal information we hold about their child, request its deletion, and refuse or withdraw consent to further collection, by contacting us at support@quantumuniverse.co. We may need to verify your identity and relationship to the child before acting.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without required consent, we will take steps to delete it.

10. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent. You can also manage many settings through your platform account and parental controls (e.g., Meta). To exercise your rights, contact us at support@quantumuniverse.co. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority (in Korea, the Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC)).

11. Third-Party Services

The Game and Services may link to or rely on third parties (e.g., Meta, Photon, k-ID, Discord, analytics and hosting providers). Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party practices.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in the Game or by other reasonable means, and — consistent with our login flow — you may be asked to review and accept updated terms. The "Last updated" date shows the latest revision.
